What is the Internet of Things? In the early 2000s, the first projects allowed internet connectivity to objects other than computers. Today, the number of devices that can connect to the network has driven what is known in Mexico as the "Internet of Things" (IoT). Its purpose is to connect as many everyday objects as possible, collectively stimulating the creation of services in various areas and transforming our social reality.

It is estimated that in 2017, there were an average of 8.4 billion connected objects in our country; that is, 31 percent more than in 2016, which means that the consumption patterns of Mexicans are rapidly changing due to the momentum of creating, producing, and promoting new technologies, leading us to the integration of the current innovative digital ecosystem.
